SUMMARY:2019 Fall Festival
DESCRIPTION:2019 Fall Festival \nNovember 9th \n \nJust a few activities to expect for our Fall Festival this year! \n*Horse rides \n*Lantern making \n*petting animals \n*homesteading demos (more on this later) \n*Special appearance by Big Foot is expected \n*scarecrow making \n*campfire/s’mores \n*movie on the lawn showcasing Fantastic Mr. Fox \n5$/person or 25$/families (*details below) \nStarting at noon walk around and see the local vendors while your kids enjoy a pony ride. Then make lanterns from gourds\, stuff a scarecrow\, play some porch games and enjoy a beverage on the porch. At sun down\, there will be s’mores and a movie on the lawn. \nThis project was a super big hit last year and fun for all ages\, we expect this year to be no exception. \nWe are known for having some pretty friendly animals around the place and will have plenty of animals to love on… goats\, cats\, dogs\, horses and even a pig or a very friendly calf could make an appearance. \nThis year we are going to have a few surprises and have asked a couple of local homesteaders to make an appearance and maybe even Big Foot!! \nWe are now accepting local vendors for our event. Set up time is from 12-5:30. No fees for booths but donations to Fortress of Faith Adventures are welcome. Stipulations are: must be home made or home grown and must be local. You must register your “booth” with Kate so please call or message at 9407335141. Thank you and bee 🐝 blessed! \nSo far we have: \n*Harden Horses/Cotton Seed 4H giving pony rides. 🍂 \n*The Naked Bee selling raw honey and wax cloths \n*Junior bee keeper with observation bee hive and education booth🍂 \n*Gypsy Goat selling hand crafted items and baked goods. \n*FOFA alpaca fiber and other homesteading demonstrations 🍂 \n*All You Need is Soap Co. Selling local homemade soap and beauty products. \n*JoAnn’s Cakes and More will have decorate your own cupcakes \n*Big Fish Adventures will be there talking stories and teaching kids how to make flutes \n*Lizzie and Christian will have tie dye booth \n*Spoons And More with artesian bread and sauces. \n🍂 indicates educational booths and are not selling anything but donations are welcome. \nFortress of Faith Adventures is located off highway 70 between Randlett and Waurika. See website for exact location. \nWe are also putting a marketing map/flyer together to hand out at the event. Let us know if you are interested in being on that map. \nAt around 6pm we will have the scarecrow stuffing contest. Enter this as a family\, a couple or just try to stuff this thing on your own. Super fun and the hardest part will be deciding who gets to take your scarecrow home! \nAs the sun starts to set\, we will have a camp fire and s’mores! Then a family movie on the lawn. We are playing the movie Fantastic Mr. Fox. \nWhat to bring: While we will have hot coco\, coffee and s’mores (and pop corn during the movie) feel free to bring a cooler with drinks and food for the campfire! \nCamping available at 5$ a tent. Call ahead for reservations as campsites are limited. \n*some restrictions do apply for family rate.. “parents and kids” yes: not parents\, kids\, cousins\, grandparents\, aunts and uncles… 🙂
